Warhawk Air Museum
The Warhawk Air Museum began in 1989 in a hanger in the Caldwell airport where John Paul began restoring WWII planes. Many residents donated various items from the war. By the year 2000, he had so many donations that they decided to relocate to Nampa and start the Warhawk Air Museum. While it was initially focused on WWII, the museum has many items today from the Iraq War, the Vietnam War, the Persian War, and the Korean War. Currently, there are 13 planes on display and many artifacts from the above-named wars. They are a not-for-profit organization and are funded by generous donations from public and private foundations.
Wilson Spring Ponds
Wilson Spring South Pond covers 1.1 acres and offers paved pathways to several fishing areas. There are unimproved trails popular with local anglers and families.
There is a daily bag limit for any fish caught in the pond. Game fish are stocked and include – Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, and Rainbow Trout.
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge
The refuge visitor center is at the Lake Lowell site just outside Nampa. It is considered an important breeding area for many mammals and birds, a wintering and resting area for many birds, including Canada Geese. The refuge covers 42.69 square kilometers or about 16 square miles.
Nampa Farmers Market
Located at 13th Avenue South Lloyd Square - 13th &, Front St, at Lloyd Square offers wares by local farmers, local food, vendors, artists, and bakers. There often local musicians playing while you browse the market stalls.
