Reducing the Cost of Your Water Damage Repair in Middleton

Our Floor Mat Drying System, Restoring a Hardwood Floor in Middleton

One of the keys to keeping costs down on a water damage repair is to call us immediately.

That way we can get started extracting and drying as soon as possible. We will deploy our state of the art equipment and Certified Water Restoration Technicians to save and restore your home and valuables before costlier damage can occur.

If water remains in the materials of your home for an extended period, it will migrate into cracks and crevices and deeper into materials. If the materials remain wet more than 48 hours, it is likely that mold will begin to grow. Mold makes property restoration more difficult and more expensive, and can render some materials unrestorable.

Our professional water restoration equipment is much more powerful and effective than wet-dry vacs or home dehumidifiers. Our extractors draw a much higher vacuum than a wet dry vac is capable of, and our low-grain refrigerant (LGR) dehumidifiers reduce humidity to much lower levels than conventional dehumidifiers.

The photograph at right illustrates our floor mat drying system in action at a residential water damage in Middleton last week. The system can extract moisture and restore even deeply saturated hardwood flooring. While the flooring may still require refinishing, refinishing is less expensive than replacing your hardwood floor by orders of magnitude.

Another key to reducing the cost of a water damage repair is in making sure you find all of the moisture, and then only drying the areas that need to be dried. This requires specially designed moisture probes and thermo-hygrometers. These measurement devices enable the technician to identify what materials are wet, how wet they are, and then use formulas to determine the size and type of equipment that will be required to achieve "drying goals." Drying goals are established by testing the moisture content of materials that are unaffected. This helps reduce cost by giving the technician a known stopping point at which the size and number of equipment items can be reduced or removed entirely.

Time is a critical factor in the repair cost of a water damage emergency. So don't wait to call us if you experience a water leak, flood or sewer backup.  We guarantee we will be on the job within no more than 4 hours of receiving notice of your loss, but our goal is to make it within 1 hour, and we often do.
